1887 to 1890 British Double Florin Coin Ring - Queen Victoria

£160.00

This Victorian double florin ring made from a sterling silver coin in the UK, shipped worldwide for free. The British double florin is worth two florins or four shillings and was made of sterling silver, minted during in Queen Victoria's reign.

The beautiful antique Victorian coin shows details of shields and sceptres with national emblems such as lions and the Irish harp. It also has the text "BRITT REG FID DEF" translating to "Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith".

The ring here shows just one of a variety of finishes we can achieve. We can provide an antiqued finish (pictured) so that the details really come to life or a polished finish for a more muted band. There are other styles we can craft too: one with the reeded edge and inside detail retained (pictured), the other with the edge removed and the inside smoothed to a polished finish. This gives you the choice between a bolder, statement ring and one that is a little less hefty.

This coin can be found with dates ranging from 1887 to 1890, so if you have a specific one you are after - such as 100 years before a birth date, for example - then that is possible (additional turnaround time might be added for dates not in stock).

This ring is in stock at a size UK T 1/2 but can be sized to a variety of sizes (including half sizes, US sizes, etc) just send us a message using the “contact us” page if you have any sizing questions.

The silver fineness of the original coin is 92.5%, sterling silver.

All of our rings come with a lifetime of benefits so you can continue to enjoy your ring for years to come.
