1911 to 1919 British Half Crown Coin Ring - King George V

£150.00

This early 20th century half crown coin ring is made from a sterling silver coin here in the UK, shipped worldwide for free. The British half crown is made of sterling silver, minted during King George V’s reign.

The beautiful antique coin shows details of a belt around a the royal shield with the inscriptions "FID DEF IND IMP" and “HONI SOIT QVI MAL Y PENSE” translating to "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India, Shame on he who thinks evil of it". Featuring the royal crown on one side with the date split on the opposite side of the ring.

The rings shown here has an antique finish but other finishes and fits are available on request.

This coin can be found with dates ranging from 1911 to 1919 (but there are some earlier half crowns from Edward VII’s reign between 1902 to 1910 but these coins are harder to come by), so if you have a specific one you are after - such as 100 years before a birth date, for example - then that is possible (additional turnaround time might be needed for dates not in stock).

The silver fineness of the original coin is 92.5%, sterling silver.
