1952 Canadian 50 Cents Coin Ring - King George VI
This Canadian coin ring made from a silver coin here in the UK. The ring shows a regal lion and unicorn holding royal flags of the both United Kingdom and also the royal banner of France.
The royal crown is centred with the denomination "50 cents" above it and "Canada" with the date (1952 pictured) on the opposite side. Here the inside details have been retained giving details of the monarch (King George VI) and his titles.
This particular coin has some reticulation to the surface of the ring which can occur when heating the coin to anneal it. It is rare, but sometimes happens and often leads to the coin being discarded, here it makes for a beautiful unique feature on the ring.
