These coin cufflinks are made from a Queen Elizabeth, New Zealand sixpence here in the UK. They show an extinct huia bird and date, 1964.

These sixpences from Elizabeth' reign were minted for New Zealand as part of the British Commonwealth prior to abolishion and movement from the Pound to the Dollar. These coins are perfect for professional looking, unique cufflinks.

Antiqued with the details polished and domed to give the piece some depth. These Queen Elizabeth II sixpences are made from copper-nickel so the details have a bright silver shine when polished.

Having some element of copper content these polished domes will gradually develop a natural patina as they are handled, a high shine can be maintained by using a jewellery cloth. These cufflinks have been given a very thin coating of clear lacquer to help preserve the look.

The cufflinks are approximately 19mm in diameter with a sturdy swivel backing to secure the cuffs of your shirt.

The coins pictured are from 1964 but other years can be crafted on request betwen 1947 and 1965 (please contact us before ordering if you have a year in mind), since these cufflinks are made to order then they can also be requested with different levels of antiquing or even polished to a high shine.
