Portuguese 50 Centavos Cufflinks - Coin Jewellery

£35.00

These copper cufflinks are made from Portuguese fifty centavos here in the UK. They show five escutcheons each containing five bezants from Portugal's coat of arms - each escutcheons said to represent the five "holy wounds of Christ".

Antiqued and with the details polished and then finished with a thin coat of clear lacquer to retain the antiqued look over time. These cuff links are domed to give the piece some depth.

The coins used are made from old copper coins and they hold all the charm of any coinage having been in circulation prior to becoming the unique piece of jewellery.

The cufflinks are approximately 19mm in diameter with a sturdy swivel backing to secure the cuffs of your shirt.

Since these cufflinks are made to order then they can also be requested with different levels of antiquing or even polished to a high shine.
