Irish Cufflinks - Irish Greyhound - Coin Jewellery

£35.00

These coin cufflinks are made from a Irish sixpence coins here in the UK.

The Irish sixpence is a beautiful coin on both sides with iconic symbols from Ireland. The side used here depicts the Irish wolfhound but the opposite side featuring the Gaelic harp and date also make beautiful cufflinks (and are available as a custom order for the same price, message for details). These coins are perfect for professional looking, unique cufflinks that have a patriotic sentiment.

Lightly antiqued with the details polished and domed to give the piece some depth. The Irish sixpences are made from copper-nickel so the details have a bright silver shine when polished.

Having some element of copper content these polished domes will gradually develop a natural patina as they are handled, a high shine can be maintained by using a jewellery cloth. These cufflinks have been given a very thin coating of clear lacquer to help preserve the look.

The cufflinks are approximately 19mm in diameter with a sturdy swivel backing to secure the cuffs of your shirt.

The coins pictured show no date (as it is on the other side of the coin) but certain years can be crafted on request where the Gaelic harp is shown on one or both cufflinks (between 1942 and 1969), since these cufflinks are made to order then they can also be requested with different levels of antiquing or even polished to a high shine.
