This silver heart necklace has inscribed around the edge, the German "40 Jahre Frieden und Freiheit" which translates to "40 Years of Peace and Freedom".
This necklace comprises of the very edge of a 1989 commemorative silver 10 marks, minted to celebrate 40 years of the German Federal Republic. The piece of silver edging has been worked to the shape of a heart and polished to a high shine, perfectly fitting for such a commemorative coin necklace.
